Endorsement from Noam Chomsky

US political theorist and activist, and emeritus professor of linguistics at MIT, Noam Chomsky is an internationally known intellectual whose  relevant books include Gaza in Crisis: Reflections on Israel’s War Against the Palestinians
(2010 with Ilan Pappe and Frank Barat), Hope and Prospects (2010), Perilous Power: The Middle East and US Foreign Policy: Dialogues on Terror, Democracy, War, and Justice (2006 with with Gilbert Achcar), and Fateful Triangle: the United States, Israel, and the Palestinians (1983). BDS Earlham is honored to share his endorsement of our campaign:

“Human Rights Watch recently called on the US government to withhold funding to Israel “in an amount equivalent to its expenditures on settlements and related infrastructure in the West Bank,” and on others too to “identify and end policies and actions that support” Israel’s activities in the occupied territories, including anything related to West Bank settlements, all in violation of international law.  The concerns of US citizens should extend at least that far, in fact well beyond, to any kind of support for the vicious siege of Gaza, hijacking and murder in international waters, and other crimes.  The Earlham resolution is a clear and appropriate commitment to what should be done, particularly in the US, which is a direct participant in Israeli crimes, with its decisive diplomatic, military, economic and ideological support for them, including crucially US-based corporations.” – Noam Chomsky
